Hiking

In summer Madrisa offers a wide range of hiking and themed trails. With varying duration and various levels of difficulty, the tours are suitable for hiking fans of all ages.

Our tip: Madrisa Circuit Tour
The tour through two countries cannot only be done in winter on skis but also in summer on foot. The cross-border hiking route starts on Madrisa and takes you along the old smugglers' trail to Gargellen and back to St. Antönien. In summer, the hike can be completed in several stages over the course of two or three days – including one or two overnight stays. Let's follow in the tracks of the smugglers!

Madrisa Land

The playground paradise – full of fun and action: That's what you'll find on Madrisa in summer. Among the highlights of Madrisa Land are the new marble run, climbing tower, several slides, numerous water games and the small flying fox. And there’s a lot to discover besides those as well! Madrisa Land is the perfect destination for an excursion – combined with a picnic at the barbecue site or a cosy lunch at Madrisa-Alp.

Our family mountain Madrisa in Winter

Madrisa is popular with families – and especially with kids. As Klosters' landmark mountain, Madrisa offers a lot of variety both in winter and in summer.

In winter, there are practice areas for children, an 8.5-kilometre sledging run to Saas, and several winter hiking trails for family members of all ages. The resort also has four practice lifts for children where the little ones can have fun while Mum and Dad enjoy their time on 31 kilometres of slopes.

Skiing for and with children

Madrisa has a lot to offer for little skiing beginners: A race with friends will make your kids’ hearts beat faster. They can have a great time on four diverse practice lifts and slopes in different lengths. And the fun runs, the race track or the children's cross hold even more adventures in store.

You can be sure that your itty-bitty ones are well taken care of in Madrisa Land. On “fun riders”, they can practice their first turns in the snow. And the best part: It’s easy and enjoyable!

Skiing for people with special needs

Madrisa is perfect for people who love winter sports but who require a modified infrastructure. The mountain has specialised in the needs of guests with disabilities and is constantly optimising its services – to ensure that all winter sports enthusiasts can have fun in the snow.

The cable car and mountain restaurant are wheelchair accessible. The 6-seater Schaffürggli chairlift takes skiers with monoskis up onto the slopes. The automatic closing and opening mechanism of the safety bar as well as the height adjustment when getting on and off the chairlift ensure optimal safety.

Freeriding

On Madrisa, a real highlight is waiting for freeriders! A circuit that connects two countries and takes you into the fantastic mountain world around Klosters – all with only one ticket: As a day tour, the route leads you across Madrisa and Madrisafurgga in the direction of the old smugglers’ trail to Gargellen in Austria. The mountain railway then takes you to the second short ascent and back to the Swiss side with a subsequent descent to St. Antönien. This is the end point of the Madrisa circuit. The post bus then takes you back to Küblis from where you can take the Rhaetian Railway to Klosters.
