Training slopes

For all Swiss-Ski squads, ski teams or companies

Davos is one of three national performance centres for alpine skiing run by Swiss Ski. A large proportion of the young skiers in the eastern region train here. Accordingly, the infrastructure is designed for optimum training on the snow. The following pistes are available:

  • Giant slalom and slalom technique training (available throughout the winter season)
  • Speed training downhill and super-G (on request)

The Davos Alpine Ski Training Centre was built and continuously optimised in collaboration with Swiss Ski. The centre is financially supported by NASAK, KASAK and municipal funds.

Training operations

Training takes place on the Jakobshorn from the end of November to mid-April. If training on the Jakobshorn is not yet possible due to the snow conditions at the beginning of the season, Davos Klosters Mountain will provide an alternative piste on Parsenn.

Training times may vary or be shortened depending on how busy the pistes are. The following training times normally apply:

  • Usser Isch: 08:30 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 16:00
  • North piste: 08:00 to 12:00 (on request from Monday to Thursday)
  • Bolgen slalom slope: 09:30 to 12:30 and from 12:30 to 16:00

Coordination on the mountain is organised by the head coach of the Davos Sports Gymnasium Foundation. On the Davos Klosters Mountains side, Stefan Megert, deputy piste manager Jakobshorn, is responsible on the mountain.
