Respect on the trails
Mehr zur Fairtrail InitiativeThe mountains of Graubünden offer endless natural beauty and thousands of kilometers of marked trails and routes. Today, you can also explore nature by e-bike or bicycle—and it’s completely official. As long as you ride considerately, there’s no problem. Through the Fairtrail Initiative, we support the shared and respectful use of the trails—so we can all enjoy nature together!

When you’re riding your bike, a hiker might give you a disapproving look, as if you were riding where it’s prohibited. But that’s not the case: In Graubünden, biking on hiking trails is generally permitted, unless an official ban explicitly prohibits it. It’s equally clear, however, that hikers can count on cyclists to exercise special consideration and always have the right of way.
