The Berghostel is located at 2,590 meters above sea level, directly at the Jakobshorn mountain station. Enjoy the first lines of the day and be enchanted by the spectacular sunrise. The accommodation was partially renovated with the reconstruction of the 2nd section of the mountain railway for the winter season 2022/23 and many adaptions were implemented. The hostel with fantastic views of the Grisons mountains is located in the middle of the ski area and allows you to jump from bed directly onto the slopes. Skiers and summit lovers appreciate the idyll and tranquility!

Near the hostel, the summit of Jakobshorn rises into the sky. It can be reached on foot in just ten minutes. Especially in summer, the climb is worth it, because you will be rewarded with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

The Berghostel Jakobshorn with its multi-bedrooms and its spacious facilities is popular with groups and school classes. Mountain sports enthusiasts enjoy the convenient location of the accommodation right in the nature and can get started straight away with various activities.

The accommodation is simple and uncomplicated. Sleeping is in your own sleeping bags, which is part of the mountain experience. Facilities for sociable evenings on the mountain include a spacious lounge with table football, WLAN and a welcoming roof terrace. The common breakfast takes place in the mountain restaurant Sun Peak.

For different group sizes

The 16 shared rooms can accommodate up to 76 guests. The rustic and with a lot of wood furnished rooms are cozy and practical. The round shape of the accommodation opens each room a view of the valley or the surrounding mountains. Sleeping bag and towels must be brought by the guests themselves. Showers and toilets are located on the floor.

For the winter season 2022/23, with the reconstruction of the 2nd section of the Jakobshornbahn, various renovations were implemented: the showers and toilets were renovated and various painting works were carried out. In addition, the new solar system ensures the production of sustainable electricity for the building. In the course of the renovation, the fire protection was brought up to date for the guests and all the lamps were replaced.

Arrival

The Berghostel Jakobshorn can be reached by gondola from Davos in 15 minutes. The valley station is located right next to Davos Platz train station and is therefore easily accessible by train and bus. For those arriving by car, parking spaces are available at the Jakobshorn valley station for a fee. From the Jakobshorn valley station, the train goes via the first section Jschalp, where you can take the 2nd section up to the mountain station.

Good to know: Luggage will be transported to the accommodation by the Davos Klosters Mountains staff. Check-in is until 15:00 pm and is located at the valley station, in the Mountain Hotels office. A 15-minute ride from the valley station takes you comfortably up to the summit.

Parking

The accommodation has a parking lot for guests. Please note that we can neither pre-book nor guarantee these parking spaces. The reception team will always try to help you.
The parking lot costs CHF 9.00 in summer and CHF 18.00 in winter per night. There is a strict night parking ban on public parking lots in Davos.
